The signing of the pact that commits 15 agreements was valued positively by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who praised the Brazilian government, calling it “a valuable partner.”

According to a statement issued after the meeting, both governments trust that bilateral trade will reach $ 15 billion in 2022. Both nations also highlight the need to strengthen their cooperation to combat terrorism and extremist violence.

As expressed in the document, the presidents “pronounced themselves in favor of increasing bilateral cooperation in this regard and agreed to cooperate against the specific terrorist threats identified by each country.”
