NuBank allows operations with Bitcoin, Ether and Solana in Brazil

The Brazilian bank NuBank now allows deposit and withdrawal operations with the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, Ether and Solana

In a move towards cryptocurrency adoption in Brazil, NuBank bank now offers withdrawal and deposit operations in Bitcoin, Solana and Ether.

The Brazilian giant follows in the footsteps of other banking institutions in the world in the crypto scene, such as JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, BBVA, HSBC, Société Générale, Five Star Bank or SGKB.

Through a statement, Nubank reported that the new function “allows the more than 20 million users it has in Brazilian territory to send and receive BTC directly into their crypto accounts in NuBank, which are accessed from the NuBank interface application.”

The banking app, which already allowed Bitcoin trading, thanks to an agreement reached with Paxos in May 2022, has indicated that they hope to soon add more tokens to their offering.

The platform has reminded customers that transactions are subject to the current commissions in the country. In addition, they have recommended always verifying the address of the destination wallet in the operation to avoid loss of funds.
