BlackBerry will create blockchain solution for health sector

BlackBerry Limited has announced the creation of a blockchain solution for sharing information in a secure way among health care providers to improve the results obtained by patients

BlackBerry has decided to dive into the sea of ​​the block chain. It recently announced the creation and launch of the BlackBerry Spark platform. The company states that it has formed new partnerships and projects driven by the client with the purpose of transforming patient care.

The technology company aims to take advantage of the blockchain to develop a very safe global ecosystem for storing and sharing medical data. Also, BlackBerry plans to use its network operations center (NOC) in order to create a digital blockchain accounting book.

The digital ledger will allow data entries from different sources such as biometric devices, individual patients and laboratories. It will ensure that these data remain tamper proof. In the same way, the platform will allow information to be shared anonymously with researchers.

BlackBerry will provide its blockchain solutions to the Global Commission, an organization focused on completing the diagnosis for children with rare diseases, in order to shorten diagnosis times.

On the other hand, the company has launched a new QNX operating system for Medical 2.0. The purpose of this system is to develop robotic surgical instruments, patient monitoring systems, infusion pumps and blood analysis systems.

BlackBerry is not the only telephony company that seeks to enter the blockchain solutions. The well-known brand of smartphones HTC developed of a smart blockchain cell called HTC Exodus that will be compatible with Litecoin cryptocurrency.
