Rental company Airbnb will include cryptocurrency payments in 2022, CEO Brian Chesky announced
The accommodation rental company, Airbnb, announced that it plans to include payments with cryptocurrencies by 2022.
This was indicated through the social network Twitter by the executive director of the company, Brian Chesky, where he asked his followers for suggestions about what updates they should do this year.
In addition to this, users requested that clear visibility be included in terms of prices, guest loyalty program, updated cleaning rates, among others.
Airbnb is a popular online platform that allows you to find and book vacation rentals around the world. The company, founded in 2008, has processed payments of $ 336 billion since 2013.
The company has already accepted payments with bitcoin since 2019, however it does this through a third party known as Bitrefill. The idea now is for the platform to have its own payment gateway with digital assets.
