Elon Musk prepares application to watch videos

The social network X is working on an application to compete with YouTube, which allows users to watch videos on smart televisions, in real time

The ambitions of Elon Musk, owner of the social network X, are moving towards the launch of an application that allows users to watch videos on smart TVs.

The announcement was made through the social network itself by Linda Yaccarino, executive director of the platform, who indicated that the new app will bring “attractive content in real time to your smart televisions.”

In Yaccario’s post, similarities can be seen between the interface of the app and that of YouTube. The executive has indicated that the new functionality “will have several qualities in which artificial intelligence (AI) stands out, such as: trend video algorithm with which the user can stay updated with popular and personalized content; AI-based themes that can be arranged for a personalized experience; cross-device experience to view content on cell phone and television; Improved video search to find content faster.”

According to Yaccarino, users will have the opportunity to watch their favorite videos by streaming content from their mobile devices. In addition, it will be available “on most smart TVs.”
