Slovenian shopping center will accept payments with cryptocurrencies

In recent months, the commercial sector has seen the popularity of cryptocurrencies rise and take place in the wholesale and retail fields. Its for this reason that projects associated with cryptoactives are more attractive every time in view of economists and investors.

Now, a shopping center in Slovenia “BTC City”, located in the capital Ljubljana, will allow payments with cryptocurrency in its more than 500 stores, which have restaurant services, vehicle sales, electronic products, clothing, footwear , among others.

The initiative was announced at the beginning of the year, with the development of the project entitled “Elipay“, which will allow payments with cryptocurrencies through a mobile application.

According to the directors of the project, the main objective behind the initiative is to raise awareness about the benefits of digital currencies, erecting a kind of “Bitcoin City” in the territory.

In fact, the scope has been such that even the Prime Minister, Miro Cerar, together with the Secretary of State, Tadej Slapnik, visited the shopping center and benefited from the payments with cryptocurrencies.
