Panama launches platform to digitize procedures

The digitalization of operations for industrial registries will allow traceability and transparency, as well as the elimination of paper use in processes

Ramón Martínez, Minister of Commerce and Industries of Panama, announced the launch of a web platform with blockchain technology. This tool will allow processing industrial records through a mobile device without using paper.

Martínez made the announcement to the National Industrial Policy Council (CONAPI) and explained the initiatives that are being carried out to boost the country’s economy and support the Panamanian industry.

The website will allow to visualize information, procedures and processes of the inspection and industrial evaluation departments of the ICIM. The two most important are the National Industry Registry (RIN) and the Certificate of Industrial Development (IFC).

On the other hand, the team of Chainzilla, a company dedicated to the generation and implementation of blockchain, informed that it will be giving the first Blockchain Development Course in Panama; with the support of the Panama Blockchain Chamber of Commerce, the Blockchain Space and Panama Legal Hackers.
