Sony will support Japanese language understanding with blockchain

The company, together with the support of others, will create a learning method for foreigners interested in the language

The Sony company will help educational institutions to have a more reliable idea of understanding Japanese, through the use of blockchain technology.

This will be possible thanks to the support of Sony Global Education, Fujitsu Ltd. and the Fujitsu Research Institute, who launched a field test that evaluated the effectiveness of the technology within the courses and exam grades.

Preliminary essays will be done with those students who wish to learn Japanese. Students will use Fujitsu’s Fisdom 2 digital learning platform as part of the course.

The data, which includes study records and exam grades, will be stored and administered in an immutable blockchain.

“In terms of linguistic capacity, this has led to problems, since the adequate information on the capacity of a person was not provided before coming to Japan and, later, the institution could not offer assistance for the search of employment”, indicated Sony with respect to the importance of the language.
