Venmo adapts its instant transfer system

Venmo announced that as of November, users wishing to make quick transactions should cancel 1% of the total transferred for commissions

The payment service owned by PayPal, Venmo, reported that as of November 6, customers who want to make quick transactions using the platform must pay 1% of the total transferred for commissions.

In principle, the service involved the payment of a fee equivalent to about $ 0.25, but according to a statement released by the company, this will be the minimum price assigned for transactions through its tool.

The news was announced to the clients by means of an email that was sent and which expresses: “These new rates reflect the real value offered by the services provided by Venmo. We provide faster and more comfortable service to customers who wish to transfer their services funds to your bank accounts immediately.”

For its part, standard bank transfers will continue to be free, but they usually take between two and three days to be processed, instead of the 30 minutes that an instant transfer takes.

The company also made available to its customers in the United States a debit card, with which people can make payments through their accounts of Venmo in any establishment where MasterCard is accepted.
