Norway investigates murder case related to bitcoin trade

Authorities investigate the death of a Norwegian man who was allegedly killed by a transaction in cryptocurrencies

The Norwegian police authorities are investigating the case of a man who was brutally stabbed to death after a transaction in person with bitcoins.

The victim was a 24-year-old resident of Majorstuen, a suburb of Oslo, the capital. The crime scene was discovered by a roommate in his apartment between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. this Wednesday.

Even though some of the victim’s friends have claimed that he had dealings with the commerce in cryptocurrencies, the police body must still collect more data to establish the connection.

There are various criminal acts related to electronic currency. The most frequent are scams, money laundering, promotion of terrorist acts, fraud with false promotions.

Murder cases are not so common, or perhaps they are not associated with cryptocurrencies because of lack of hard evidence to prove the connection.
