The President of the United States announced aid to Venezuelan migrants, through the USAID plan, for 174 million dollars

Venezuelan migrants will receive humanitarian aid from the United States, as confirmed by the President, Joe Biden, in the amount of USD 174 million, through the USAID plan.

The immigration crisis that affects Venezuelan citizens has led the Biden Administration to make a new contribution for humanitarian aid. The statement with this announcement indicates that “this new assistance includes hot meals, food vouchers and other vital supports.”

This is new support for Venezuelan migrants, who leave in search of a better quality of life. The statement details that vital assistance includes more than USD 310 million through the “Office of Population, Refugees and Migration of the Department of State and more than 174 million dollars through the United States Agency for International Development.”

Refugees, migrants and other vulnerable populations are on the priority list of actions of the US government, which recently hosted representatives from 10 Latin American countries during the APEP summit.
