The UN will help Jordan with blockchain technology

The organization wants to help women in refugee camps get cash without the need to go through a bank

The United Nations (UN), specifically the UN Women, announced that it is thinking of using blockchain technology to help Jordan.

Specifically, the organization plans to make cash transfers within the refugee camps in that area.

This project will be carried out in conjunction with the World Food Program (WFP), with which 115 thousand people will benefit through the chain of blocks.

The main objective is to help refugee women so they can obtain cash without going through third parties. Thanks to this money they will be able to make their purchases in supermarkets.

The idea is one of those the UN has developed using decentralized technology. Months ago, the organization made an alliance with the World Identity Network to combat the trafficking of youth and minors using the blockchain.
