The new iPhone will not arrive in the expected time

One of the main providers of Apple, Broadcom, assured that due to the pandemic the launch will be the last quarter of the year

The launch of the next iPhone, which was initially expected ifor September, will be delayed until the last quarter of the year due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to one of its main suppliers to the technology company, Broadcom.

Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said during a meeting on the company’s results that a delay in the launch of iPhone 12 is expected; a situation that would lead this semiconductor maker and main supplier to Apple to record profits a quarter later.

Tan refers at all times to a “large North American mobile phone company” when speaking at the meeting of “a delay in the product cycle.”

The aforementioned delay was due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has prevented Apple workers from going to factories in China to finish orders, and many employees have had to work from home.

The director pointed out at the meeting that this delay, the benefits of which he will see in the fourth quarter of this year, has not affected the design or the content.

According to Tan, Apple would not maintain the plans of each year to present and launch a new iPhone in the month of September, although the technology company has not yet made any announcement on this matter.
