Wells Fargo restricts access to Zelle to Venezuelans

The banking institution sent a statement to clients who have residence in Venezuela, informing about the situation

Through a statement via email, Venezuelans with accounts at the Wells Fargo institution in the United States received the news that they will no longer be able to count on the Zelle service.

Specifically, those people who have registered their account domiciled in Venezuela will not be able to enjoy this service from June 26.

At the moment no more details are known about this measure, but many relate it to the sanctions that the Donald Trump administration has been imposing against Nicolás Maduro and his closest political circle.
