Peru to implement the electronic invoice

Almost 100% of commercial transactions will be made using electronic vouchers by 2020

In Peru, electronic invoicing ceased to be a pending issue to become a consolidated reality that is transforming and boosting the nation’s economic activity.

According to the SUNAT forecasts in 2020, more than 95% of the commercial activities in the Inca country will be carried out using electronic invoices. In addition, the digital transformation program led by the agency for years will be implemented.

Alberto Redondo, Marketing Director of SERES for Iberia and LATAM said: “The roadmap of the SUNAT is working like a clock. An exemplary and highly efficient process that will benefit everyone, especially businesses and citizens.”

Undoubtedly, the massive adoption of the electronic voucher will have a strong positive impact on businesses and citizens that is materialized in the reduction of time and costs; both in the issuance and in the receipt of the vouchers and evidently in the expenses of paper and printing.

It is worth remembering that SERES is a specialist in secure electronic document exchange services and has been present in Latin America for more than 10 years. It is the partner that will collaborate in the digital transformation with an emphasis on optimizing, automating and ensuring the exchange of documents.
