Avengers Endgame could not hit Avatar’s box office record

The trends at the box office do not seem to favor the epic saga of Marvel Studios

A month has passed since the release of Avengers: Endgame and in this time the film managed to become one of the most successful in history. However, statistics show that it will not surpass James Cameron production.

The film that practically closes the Marvel Cinematic Universe became 18 days ago the second highest grossing film in history; being surpassed only by Avatar.

At the time it seemed that the film could be crowned in the first place but analysts from the firm BoxOffice Media point out that they may not beat Avatar after all.

The company says: “Revenue at the box office has slowed down much more than we all expected. If it behaves as it has done up to this point, there is a margin of between 10 and 20 million dollars that lies between the northern half and the southern half of Avatar.”

To get an idea of the panorama it is necessary to highlight that Avengers: Endgame has raised a total of USD $ 2,620 million worldwide, while Avatar remains at the top with USD $ 2,780. The difference between both films is minimal. We just have to wait because Marvel still has several weeks left in theaters.
