Funds stolen from Bitfinex are used on current trading

Information collected through social networks determined that the hackers, guilty of this crime of 2016, are making transactions with this money right now

It is estimated that at least 119,756 bitcoins that were stolen from the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange in 2016 are on the move again.

Several alerts issued through Twitter, dated July 27 and 28, indicate that certain wallet addresses associated with one of the largest thefts in the world of cryptocurrencies are active right now.

The largest single move was 476.32 BTC, or roughly $ 5.2 million, while the smallest was 2.612703 BTC, or $ 28,849.

According to investigations, hackers guilty of this crime have been able to move only 1 or 2% of the funds illegally withdrawn in August 2016.

The potential impact of such a large number of coins tossed into the cryptocurrency market could be problematic. However, bitcoin’s price was largely unaffected when 50 BTC of tokens in old directions associated with Satoshi Nakamoto moved in May.
