IPhone 12 mass production delayed

The company stressed that although the goal is delayed for a month this would not change the presentation and launch plans for the new range of equipment

Apple will delay the mass production of iPhone 12 for a month, and it would not impact the presentation and launch plans of the new family of smartphones but its availability at the end of the year.

Every year, the tech company renews its family of iPhones in early September and puts them up for sale later that month. This means that mass production starts during the Summer so that there are units available with which to meet demand.

However, and as reported by The Wall Street Journal, which quotes sources close to these changes, Apple would have delayed the start of mass production for a month. Accordingly, in Summer the production would take place to match demand after launch, but the delay could mean a lack of product at the end of the year.

The iPhone 12 family is expected to be made up of four members this year, some with 5G connectivity, an OLED panel and three different sizes: 5.4, 6.1 and 6.7 inches.
