The dark mode of WhatsApp is already available in the latest beta version of the application for Android devices, 2.20.13, something that was expected for a few months.
Being a beta version, it is only available for a few, although any user can access it by becoming a beta tester. Users who are not ‘betatesters’ can obtain version 2.20.13 through APK Mirror.
In order to activate the dark mode, users who have this beta version will have to access the ‘Settings’ section of the application and then click on ‘Chats’.
Once in that section, the user must enter the ‘Theme’ option, in which he can choose between three options: dark, light and “was established for energy savings.”
The Facebook messaging service already announced at the beginning of December that the application was preparing a function with which the dark mode could be activated automatically according to the energy saving settings.
