The World Economic Forum in Davos receives crypto specialists

Chris Giancarlo, Joe Mountain, Jeremy Allaire, David Marcus, Agustin Carstens and Neha Narula stand out as crypto representatives in the forum

The 50th anniversary of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos centers on the main theme: “Stakeholders interested in a cohesive and sustainable world”, as reported by crypto media such as Coinspeaker, Cointelegraph and Coindesk.

The annual economic meeting that will last until January 24th is attended by the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde; the president of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva; U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin; climate change activist Greta Thumberg and US President Donald Trump.

In a year where the blockchain promises a greater advance than in previous years, the speakers will present many productive proposals for global economic development. That is the case of Chris Giancarlo, former president of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission of the United States (CFTC) who will show the world the LATOKEN cryptocurrency exchange.

Joe Mountain, co-founder of Ethereum, is also part of the list of participants in the forum and will focus his presentation on decentralized finance (DeFi), stable currencies (stablecoins) and what to expect in 2020.

The CEO of Circle crypto payment firm Jeremy Allaire will participate in the session: “Shaping the future of financial and monetary systems” and, as Allaire mentioned in Coindesk, will promote the concept of stablecoins in the WEF.
