The CTV announced a new method for setting the minimum wage in Venezuela

The Confederation of Workers of Venezuela (CTV) and the Independent Trade Union Alliance (ASI) Venezuela announced that the new method for setting the minimum wage is expected to be applied in March, which should not be below USD 200

During the Fourth Tripartite Social Dialogue Forum, a new “method for setting the minimum wage and a schedule for its setting” was approved, as announced by the Confederation of Workers of Venezuela.

As indicated by CTV in its account on X, “this is a joint effort between the organization and the Independent Trade Union Alliance (ASI) to achieve an increase in the minimum wage of workers, which “should not be below 200 dollars per month.”

“Recurrent tax revenues allow this amount to be established without inflationary effects,” highlighted the CTV and added that the increase is the absolute responsibility of the National Executive.

It is important to remember that the minimum monthly income of public sector workers in Venezuela is 130 bolivars, to which are added government bonuses that have no impact on the calculation of annual benefits.
