Steemit platform regains its functionality
This Steem blockchain-based rewards system, on which the Steemit social network operates, announced that the error was generated in the content curation rewards curve
In addition to being known as a very popular social networking site in the field of cryptocurrencies, Steemit comprises millions of user accounts and that after the error occurred last weekend, generated problems that later the service team of the platform solved.
They quickly developed a patch that did not require a hard fork, known as an update that produces changes in the code of a cryptocurrency, but does replay its nodes, which are used by other Steem applications.
This is not the first time that the platform experiences technical collapses. In 2018, when the pages of the Steemit social network stopped loading, software updates plunged the network into chaos.
However, this drop in the system had negative effects on the market, positioning the current price at USD 0.164, which represents the 7% drop in the last 7 days. According to CoinMarketCap data, on August 28 it was USD 0.178.
These failures in the system remain a constant problem in the world of cryptocurrencies, and even when the Steemit team apologized to the users, they assured that they will continue working to avoid inconveniences in the system.
