Smart mobility promises fast and sustainable displacement

In the search for a solution to bottlenecks and environmental pollution, smart mobility emerges, an alternative based on technology

Among the challenges of the new millennium for most nations is to achieve a better quality of life. To reach this, it has been proposed to minimize the emission of pollutants to the environment. Smart mobility constitutes a light at the end of the tunnel in this challenge.

Undoubtedly, the concentration of a high population in large cities has contributed to the increase in pollution levels caused by vehicles. However, the “one car-one person” pattern is no longer sustainable and gives way to new modes of displacement based on technology.

Currently there are several platforms and mobile applications that are changing the urban configuration and establishing the bases for smart cities. On the other hand, models have emerged that include cooperation or shared mobility, autonomous and interconnected driving, in addition to electric cars.

The CASE model -Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Electric- is an alternative to traditional models of mobility with private vehicles, bus networks and the subway in the path to car sharing, electric vehicles, use of the bicycle, among others.

The year 2030 has been considered as the limit to achieve a mobility driven by clean, renewable and sustainable energy, accompanied by a can investment in intelligent infrastructure, development of platforms and startups oriented to the transfer of people with safety and efficiency by land and air.

The process of adaptation and change involves car and motorcycle manufacturers, governments, private and non-governmental organizations as well as technology giants.
