France calls on the EU to welcome measures on cryptos

The nation seeks to promote its bill on cryptocurrencies to be applied by the member countries of the European community

France has the firm objective of convincing the countries of the European Union (EU) to adopt the same cryptocurrency regulations that have been applied in the region.

A Reuters report details the financial bill recently approved by France, which establishes that cryptocurrency issuers and merchants will be able to establish themselves in the country by obtaining an official certification and in return they will have to pay taxes according to their profits.

This was known thanks to the confirmation of the Minister of Economy and Finance of France, Bruno Le Maire, who assured that the model proposed by his country is correct.

“I will propose to my European partners that we establish a unique regulatory framework on cryptoactives inspired by the French experience. Our model is correct,” the minister explained.

The objective of the approval of this new law is to establish a market for the companies that obtain their capital by said means and to give participation to the governmental institutions in the expansion of the cryptocurrency business within the country.

In the same way, they will be able to closely monitor the sector to detect any speculative activity.
