At a recent meeting of the Finance Ministers of 20 countries, the attendees agreed to support the process of economic recovery in Venezuela once the government of Juan Guaidó is installed.
The announcement was made by Steven T. Mnuchin, Secretary of the Treasury of U.S. The official was the host of the fifth meeting of this group of experts in the area of finance.
The main condition of this support to the recovery of the South American country is to call for free elections once it is install the government of interim president Juan Guaidó.
The ministers of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Guyana, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, Peru, Spain and the United Kingdom recognized that the reconstruction process will be long and costly.
In the discussion participated Ricardo Hausmann, appointed by Guaidó as coordinator of its economic advisors. Topics such as corruption, the financial system and the economic growth were discussed.
