Hacker sells information for 1 BTC

Information from 300,000 customers of Jiurong, a Chinese vehicle finance platform, was handed over by a hacker who compromised the company's database

The attacker tried to sell the information of 300,000 Jiurong customers on the dark web. Among the personal data compromised are the telephone numbers and identification of customers.

The hacker offers all the information in exchange for a bitcoin, a low figure considering that the king of cryptocurrency quotes at $ 3,900 per unit. Also, the hacker said that for that price third parties can get access to the company’s servers.

Several users working near the Jiurong platform confirmed that the filtered information does belong to the company’s customers.

It has not yet been possible to confirm whether the information has already been sold, despite the fact that Lone Wolf, the aggressor, claims that he has already obtained a buyer.

This is not the first opportunity in which something similar happens. In August, approximately 130 million hotel records were sold for 8 bitcoin on the dark Chinese web.
