HTC launched presale of its new smartphone with blockchain that can only be purchased with Bitcoin or Ethereum

The Taiwanese giant of consumer electronics HTC launched in presale its smart phone with blockchain called Exodus 1. It is available to preorder on the website and will be sent in early December. It can only be purchased using cryptocurrencies, specifically bitcoin and ethereum.

The Exodus 1 has a 6-inch QHD + screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a Snapdragon 845 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. In addition, it has a 3,500 mAh battery with an IP68 waterproof rating. The device costs 0.15 BTC or 0.78 ETH, approximately $ 960.

HTC Exodus allows support for decentralized dApps applications and lends itself as a hardware wallet for crypto lovers. The secure enclave application of the phone, a locked area isolated from the rest and the Android operating system contains the user’s private digital currency keys.

Also, there is a social key recovery mechanism, which allows the client to recover access to their crypto funds in case of losing their private keys, selecting the previously chosen trusted contacts. The company is inviting cryptographers to test the early access version of their equipment.

The smartphone isavailable in 34 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore and several European countries, with the exception of China, where exchanges and cryptocurrency trading are prohibited.
