Fudan University creates blockchain research center
The educational center wants to promote the creation of projects with this technology, as well as give training in this area
Fudan University, one of the most prestigious in China, announced the opening of its own research center, which will be destined to develop blockchain projects.
According to the official announcement, the educational institution established the Shanghai Blockchain Engineering Technology Research Center in collaboration with the Chinese online insurance company Zhongan Online Property Insurance and the security company Shanghai Zhongren Information Technology.
The creators of this space wish to command research in the blockchain area, where their applications can be demonstrated. In addition, they want to apply advisory services and training in this technology.
The University of Fudán is among the first three educational centers with greater prestige within the People’s Republic of China.
However, this institution is not the first to create an exclusive space for blockchain research. The Fintech Research Institute at Tsinghua University in Beijing, in partnership with Ripple, announced in January the launch of the blockchain technology research scholarship program for outstanding students in China in 2019.
