Tesla promises autonomous driving this year

The electric car company Tesla has indicated that by the end of 2023 it would be offering autonomous driving; that is, without human intervention

Elon Musk’s statements during the recent World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai suggest that Tesla would be offering autonomous driving by the end of 2023.

According to the tycoon, “during the latest tests of their systems on the roads of the United States, “they rarely require human intervention.”

The Full Self-Driving (FSD) assisted-driving system beta for all drivers in North America was approved last year. “It allows Tesla vehicles to have a certain degree of autonomous driving, although the driver needs to always be attentive, with their hands on the wheel.”

Musk’s predictions about autonomous driving, without human assistance, have been wrong so far. Now, he affirms that the forecasts “are closer to reality than ever”, as quoted by the Shanghai news portal The Paper.
