Telegram will launch its blockchain Telegram Open Network
A team made up of developers from different countries are the only ones that have access to the private trial version of the Telegram blockchain that will be launched in the third quarter of 2019
The cryptographic ecosystem is following in the footsteps of the Telegram blockchain project for about a year and finally there is clear information about its launch. The firm plans to announce TON between July and September of this year.
At the beginning there were some doubts about whether the courier service could carry out a serious project based on blockchain technology. However, it is clear that the company is dedicating its efforts to launch the initiative.
In April, Telegram launched private tests of its blockchain called Telegram Open Network and within the framework of these tests the consortium put its new idea at the disposal of several development teams to solve the problems that had arisen.
At the time, the brand confirmed that it had successful results during its testing phase. The breakthrough indicates that the distributed technology and the company’s consensus algorithm fulfill the purpose announced in TON’s White Paper.
Some experts say that in fact Telegram Open Network (TON) showed an “extremely high transaction speed”. In the same way, it is expected that the network has much in common with the Ethereum blockchain and that it hosts decentralized applications.
It is worth noting that the TON development team recently partnered with Wirecard, a financial services provider based in Germany to develop digital financial products.
