Spain will launch an electric motorcycle that uses blockchain

The motorcycle called Ghatto G1 seeks to compete with the BMW C-Evolution with a lower price

The researchers José Campillo and José Soriano from the Polytechnic University of Valencia created an electric scooter motorcycle that works using blockchain. The invention called Ghatto G1 will be launched on February 20 and is being manufactured in Sollana, Valencia, Spain.

Its developers maintained that “the electric motorcycle will rival other models in its segment such as the BMW C-Evolution, although it will offer twice the power and autonomy for less than 15,000 euros, the price of the German manufacturer’s scooter.”

The creators of the motorcycle informed that they will elaborate their own batteries, which will be assembled in the Sollana plants with lithium coming from South Korea.

Undoubtedly, one of the main innovations of this bike is that it is equipped with blockchain technology that will allow drivers to measure various parameters. In this regard, Campillo said: “We want that for the sale of second hand does not need to see the bike. Measurables of the motorcycle can not be corrupted by the very definition of blockchain, which makes the data immutable.

To conclude, the developers informed the media that the price of the Ghatto G1 scooter will be around 13,500 euros, equivalent to 15,200 dollars.
