French gastronomy will have a prominent place during the 2024 Olympic Games, from July 26 to August 11. The country hopes to promote its cheeses, the traditional baguette and a variety of gourmet dishes during the event.

It is estimated that some 40,000 meals, including wines, cheeses, vegetables and other delicacies, will be served daily to athletes from more than 200 countries in the Olympic Village.

Both visitors and athletes will be able to enjoy French cuisine during the 2024 Olympics, through the services of “the company Sodexo Live!, which was selected to supervise the food supply in the village and the 14 venues of the Paris Games, They confirmed that they created 500 recipes, which notably will be offered to more than 3,500 athletes in the Village and that it will be the largest restaurant in the world.”

During the games, a renowned chef will cook for athletes in the Olympic Village, including some with Michelin stars. Four regions have been established for the selection of meals: French, Asian, African and Caribbean, as well as international food. And the ingredients will be seasonal, 80 % coming from France.
