Estonia has granted permits to more than 900 cryptocompanies

Estonia recently started the delivery of some 900 licenses for the cryptocurrency sector, showing a more favorable position towards this world.
The country has also been one of the first nations to request jurisdictions before the European Union to legalize activities. As detailed, Estonia usually provides two types of licenses: one to operate Exchanges of digital assets and another to provide Wallets services.
According to the report published by the law firm Nikolay Demchuk, the process of obtaining the license is relatively easy and simple.
The Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit, the regulator issuing the licenses, has 30 days to review each application, but in most cases an approval is granted within one or two weeks. However, a license may be revoked if the company has not started operations within six months of receiving it.
The requirements that companies must comply with are stipulated in the regulations against money laundering, just as it is necessary for licensees to fulfill the conditions established in the local and European laws.
