LG creates its own NFT platform

The company launched a space dedicated to the purchase and sale of non-fungible tokens, which is called "LG Art Lab"

LG Electronics launched a platform for buying and selling non-fungible tokens (NFT), called LG Art Lab, which allows access to these digital assets from its televisions.

The company announced in March that it planned to incorporate NFT functions into its smart TVs and has now integrated this platform into TVs running webOS 5.0 or later.

This option, which is currently only available in the United States, can be accessed directly from the home screen of televisions, which also integrate the LG Art Lab Drops function.

As indicated by the company in a statement, this function offers a profile of the artists and creators of these assets and presents a preview of the collections that will soon arrive at the platform.

Likewise, in LG Art Lab a section called Live Drops is also integrated, which shows in real time those recently launched NFT to the users of these smart TVs.

LG’s new service is based on the Heiress network, a platform that is presented as a corporate public ledger for the decentralized economy.
