Digital technologies leaders spread around the world

Countries such as the United States, China, Japan and South Korea lead the list of nations with extensive development of digital technologies

According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), between 2013 and 2016 China, the United States, Japan and South Korea developed between 72% and 98% in terms of digital technologies.

Undoubtedly, the United States was the undisputed leader in technologies related to air control, with algorithms based on biological models or mathematical models, according to the information provided by the organization.

In its report called “Measuring digital transformation: a roadmap for the future”, the OECD argues that these technologies are fundamental in the acquisition of jobs, since sectors with high digital content originated approximately 40% of jobs between 2006 and 2016.

For its part, China continues to be the world’s largest factory of computer, electronic and optical products. According to data from 2015, 35% of gross exports came from the Asian giant, equivalent to half a billion dollars.
