Bitcoin has more than 5 thousand ATMs in the world

People who trade with the main cryptocurrency market have an average of five thousand ATMs spread around the world

The most recent information published by the CoinATMRada platform on the number of ATMs in the world for transactions with bitcoin indicates that the figure is 5,000 for the first time ever.

The statistics indicate that the BTMs (bitcoin ATMs) are present in about 90 countries, for the purchase and sale of BTC. The country at the top of the list is the United States, territory where new locations and formats are frequent.

Only in the month of June “a total of 150 installations have been made, about 6 a day”. General Bytes is the main manufacturer, above Genesis Coin, with the largest number of BTMs installed.

According to specialized cryptocurrency platforms, “the United States currently has more than half of the world’s BTMs – 3,229 – with a new pilot scheme this month taking machines to Circle K convenience stores in Arizona and Nevada.”

The increase in the number of BTMs in the market could lead to a reduction in the commissions charged to customers for each transaction and that currently “tend to be significantly higher than online alternatives.”
