Bittrex to launch crypto exchange for Latin America and the Caribbean
The US platform announced the expansion of its commercial operations to both regions with the development of an exchange of cryptocurrencies jointly with Cryptofacil
Bittrex recently announced the creation of an crypto active exchange for Latin America and the Caribbean, jointly with Cryptofacil, located in Uruguay. The leading platform in the United States seeks to expand its commercial activity in both regions by marketing more than 200 cryptocurrencies.
The first phase of this initiative includes the pre-registration period for merchants who are interested in crypto exchange. According to Andrés Szafran, co-founder of Cryptofacil, they seek to enrich themselves from the Bittrex experience for commercialization.
Cryptofacil aims to become “the exchange of cryptographic assets and the most reputable platform in Latin America and the Caribbean,” according to Szafran.
On the other hand, Bill Shihara, CEO of Bittrex, has indicated that with this association they seek to offer the residents of Latin America and the Caribbean access to a variety of cryptocurrencies, strengthening the reputation of Cryptofacil.
Shihara added: “As we continue to expand our global footprint, such partnerships will serve not only to support the blockchain industry, but also to incubate innovative projects using this revolutionary technology.”
The market of the two selected regions represents a niche for strategic development and growth, given the restrictions on banking and financial services.
