A study recently conducted by the e-commerce giant Linio on online shopping trends in Latin America showed a considerable increase in the region.
The sample included surveys in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. The list of products preferred by customers includes watches and smartphones, laptops, drones, cameras, televisions and monitors.
Linio based its report on the Technology Price Index 2018, with a total of 404 technological products, divided into 6 categories of 632 stores in the area, present in the six countries mentioned and 5 in other regions.
According to the Linio study, in each country included in the analysis, an average purchase of electronic items through Internet is maintained between 45%-48%. However, Ecuador stands out with a trend of 60%–70%.
The increase in online purchases in AL is due to the easiness offered by the modality to customers with respect to search of products on the network, comparison of prices, purchase, payment and receipt of the product back in their country.
