Applaydu, the new augmented reality app for Kinder chocolates

The Kinder chocolate brand developed the application, with the help of the University of Oxford, aimed at bringing its toys to life and encouraging learning

The latest novelty from Kinder Surprise, from the chocolate manufacturer, is Applaydu, an application based on Augmented Reality, available on the App Store and Google Play and compatible for Android 4.4 and iOS 12 operating systems onwards.

The new Kinder app is embedded in the concept of “edutainment”; that is, learning through the incorporation of didactic elements that allow the child to learn while having fun with games such as hide and seek, races, car competitions or dancing and drawing, which are precisely part of those included in the new Kinder application.

The well-known Kinder eggs of the Italian brand, which come with a surprise inside, are now a learning tool through the app that includes a section for parents, where they can check the progress of children. Fun is guaranteed in this free downloadable tool that is ad-free.

Applaydu seeks to strengthen the abilities of children in diverse areas of knowledge, such as reading and writing, mathematics, memory, as well as in all motor skills through Augmented Reality. It will feature a first collection of Africa’s animals, called Natoons, for a total of 21 animals, including elephants, zebras, crocodiles, and rhinos.

The toys will be the vehicle for children to learn in a fun way about African fauna, its characteristics, the habitat where they develop and their diet, among other information.
