Google begins to distribute its digital wallet

The company is rolling out the digital wallet in a total of 39 countries around the world

Google began rolling out its Google Wallet payment app which works as a digital wallet, on Android devices in a total of 39 countries around the world.

In April of this year, 9to5Google reported that the company was preparing the return of this bank card and payment management service, which disappeared in 2018 when combined with Android Pay.

It was the editor of Esper.io and former editor-in-chief of XDA Developers, Mishaal Rahman, who shared a screenshot of what would be his interface days later. These included saving options for gift cards and bills.

However, it wasn’t until May, at its annual Google I/O 2022 developer conference, that the company announced that it would be bringing back the Google Wallet app.

This new version comes as a digital wallet for Android that allows access to payment cards, loyalty cards, plane tickets, event tickets and the vaccination certificate, among other official documents, from the same place on the smartphone.
