This work is part of the Bilateral Fund for Development in Transition Chile-EU that the European body carries out together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile and the Chilean Agency for International Development Cooperation (AGCID), whose representatives held a meeting this Wednesday.

“The projects to be supported respond to priorities of both parties and include key sectors of mutual interest such as the development of renewable energies and innovative decarbonization technologies, as well as the strengthening of the competitive capacity of the regions in the framework of decentralization and the process of economic recovery of the post-covid territories”, said the EU ambassador to Chile, Stella Zervoudaki.

Currently, the stoppage of activities in Chile is greatly affecting the economy of the region, according to figures from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) could contract as much as 7.1% by the end of 2020, slipping into its worst recession since 1982.
