Venezuela bets on a new world order at the NAM conference

The Venezuelan executive assured that this model must be based on solidarity and multilateralism

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called for the establishment of a new world order based on solidarity and multilateralism at the virtual summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

During the meeting and through a videoconference, the group of countries focused on the idea of staying United against Covid-19, and in this sense, the national president stressed the importance of international cooperation to contain the scourge of the health crisis.

“The NAM must become the axis of a new world geopolitics, based on cooperation, solidarity, multilateralism” as pointed out by the executive at the conference. At the same time, he thanked the solidarity offered by countries such as Cuba, China and Russia, who have remained at the forefront of the South American country.

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz Canel, also thanked Azerbaijan, President of the Non-Aligned Movement for convening this meeting that allows the union between nations and face current circumstances together. .

Finally, the Venezuelan executive urged the Movement to launch the World Health Organization for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of that organism which has remained in the fight against the virus.
