Apple will pay USD 500 million for lack of performance on iPhone

The US company must pay consumers 25 dollars with a minimum total payment of 310 million dollars

The Apple company was sued in an American court by iPhone users after the devices presented a sudden lack of performance, in the face of such accusations the company says it never slowed the performance of the iPhone with bad intentions but customers refuse to accept it.

For its part, the court has considered the position of both parties establishing a verdict in which Apple must compensate users by paying $ 25 for each iPhone for a minimum total payment of USD 310 million, a figure that could amount to 500 million dollars.

According to this scenario, Tim Cook agreed to pay the agreement to avoid the legal costs of the drip of lawsuits throughout the US, although the company maintains at all times that there was no bad faith in its actions.

The failure of the devices was generated after the company took out a function with a supposed increase in the performance of the same avoiding unexpected reboots in the system, but the results were not as expected. On the contrary, the function has caused serious problems in the battery of the iPhone when reaching high temperatures.

According to the company, although the strategy was always linked to meet the needs of users, its execution was not the most appropriate because the company introduced, in secret and without notifying the user, a way to reduce so many worn out batteries.
