The income of the US chain stood at 14,481 million dollars, as indicated in the fiscal year report

The US retail chain Walmart obtained a net attributable profit of 14,881 million dollars in the last fiscal year, ended in January, which is equivalent to an increase of 123% compared to the result of 6,670 million dollars accounted for the preceding exercise.

Revenue from the US retail giant reached a total of $ 523,964 million in its last fiscal year, 1.8% more than a year earlier.

Walmart’s net sales grew 2.8% annually in the United States, but decreased 0.6% internationally. On the other hand, Sam’s Club sales grew 1.6%.

In the fourth quarter, the company obtained a net attributable profit of $ 4,141 million, 12.3% above its earnings for the same period of the previous year, while Walmart’s revenues grew 2%, to 141,671 million dollars.

“The new year started well and we hope to register another solid year”, said Doug McMillon, president and CEO of Walmart.

Thus, by 2021, Walmart hopes to achieve a 3% growth in its net sales, without taking into account the effect of the exchange rate, as well as raising its profit per share to a range between 5 and 5, 15 dollars.
