Solar energy improves water purification process

Thanks to solar energy it was possible to make the purification of water a much faster and more effective process

Solar energy has many uses. Although it is a very important renewable resource, it has not been exploited as it should be. Thanks to this energy millions of people can have drinking water every day.

Some people believe that solar energy only serves to supply electricity to homes. But there are so many uses for this energy hardly being taken into account and unknown to most.

Solar energy has the ability to purify water so that it can be consumed by humans. All this is possible thanks to a small but very useful invention developed at the University of Texas in conjunction with the Thuwai University of Science and Technology.

The invention manages to evaporate the water and take it to a more friendly state for the human body in a very short time. Even dirty water or even seawater becomes drinkable in a short time.

It is achieved not only by harnessing sunlight, but thanks to an improved version of the existing purifiers. This involves hydrogels, sponges and polymer mixtures.

The innovation transforms 3.6 liters per hour and per square meter into drinkable water, so in three hours they get about 10.8 liters of water ready for human consumption.
