Netflix reveals the first images of The Witcher series
Since Netflix announced its intentions to make a series based on The Witcher much has been speculated and expected about the production
Predictions range from that will be the next – and better than – Game of Thrones to the fact that it could turn out very badly. However, not much had been officially revealed so far, beyond a photo of Henry Cavill as Geralt.
The public expected more information from the series, after the actor revealed the end of the shooting of the first season just over a month ago. Now Netflix broke the silence to show the first promotional images of the series.
The company revealed the official poster and also published photographs of three of the most relevant characters for its history: Geralt de Rivia (Henry Cavill), Freya Allan (Ciri) and Anya Chalotra (Yennefer).
In the photos it can be seen that Cavill adopts an appearance very similar to the Geralt of the video game. But it’s striking that he carries just one sword. Generally, witches carry two, one of silver to kill and one of steel to fight human beings.
On the other hand, people can see a Ciri who doesn’t wear the clothes she usually wears. However, the character that has attracted the most attention is Yennefer, as this version is not very similar to the sorceress of video games.
