Darknet recorded transactions of $ 600 million in 2018

According to the data collected from the Chainalysis portal there was a reduction in the volume of transactions between 2017 and last year

During 2018, at least 600 million dollars were registered in transactions with the bitcoin cryptocurrency within the DarkNet, according to the portal Chainalysis.

With respect to 2017, there was a significant reduction in the volume of operations since it went from 700 million to 600 million.

The possible reasons for this decrease were the closures of the markets such as Hansa and AlphaBay, which closed in mid-2017.

Experts say that the activities in the Darknet have become very resistant despite the efforts of the authorities to end the illicit transactions that take place there.

The Darknet is a veiled internet area that is beyond the reach of conventional browsers and the authorities themselves. According to sources, this space includes the content that circulates in encrypted networks, or darknets, and that in any case uses the World Wide Web, although the access requires programs or special access authorizations.
