Cointext expands to the Asian continent

Cointext, the service that allows Bitcoin users to make transactions directly through SMS, announced the launching of its Bitcoin Cash wallet to Hong Kong, Israel and Palestine

Hong Kong becomes the first Asian nation that is officially connected by Cointext, a platform that allows any citizen to send money to mobile phone numbers or Bitcoin Cash addresses without Internet, applications or accounts. In addition to Chinese, Israeli and Palestinian residents now have access to the service.

Cointext is a digital wallet with all functions, does not require applications, accounts, passwords or even Internet access. The tool has a ramp to access the ecosystem of the cryptocurrency for anyone with a phone enabled for SMS.

The founder and lead developer Vin Armani said: “These are important regions for us to connect because they are financial centers.” Cointext offers a simple alternative to physical cash.

Users can access their wallets by sending SMS commands such as “Balance, Receive and Send” to a local number. Residents in new countries get a digital wallet by sending the word “Start” to their numbers.

Cointext serves in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Austria, Portugal, Estonia, the Czech Republic and now in the Asian countries mentioned above. The Hong Kong and Israel versions have the messages in English but the Hebrew and Chinese languages ​​are in development.
