Google removes more cryptographic portfolios from the online store

A malware researcher detailed that several applications are dedicated to the theft of identities and information related to the world of cryptocurrencies

An investigation carried out by the malware expert, Lukas Stefanko, revealed that Google was forced to cancel four applications related to the cryptographic world in view of the fact that they were a scam.

For some time, hackers have been dedicated to the theft of information related to cryptocurrencies something that goes beyond identity theft and credit cards.

As detailed, the applications were present as cryptocurrency portfolios imitating legitimate services for NEO Wallet (developed by Granville), Tether Wallet (also developed by Granville), and an extension to access ethereum (ETH), MetaMask.

Although Google had already removed this information from its servers, the community is concerned that the applications have reached the hands of several dozens of users.

In the ecosystem of cryptocurrencies, applications can be a great advantage for users, as well as a great curse.
