Unicode revealed the images that must be adapted by technology companies to include in their upcoming emoji updates

Unicode, the firm responsible for approving the emojis that are included each year to digital platforms released the list of 59 images that will be annexed this year. Some are variations of gender, skin color and hair that have some icons, so it is said that in reality there are 320 emojis.

Among the list of images that were approved is a yawning face, a brown heart, a person with hearing disability, two types of wheelchairs, a flamenco, a planet similar to Saturn, an oyster, a drop of blood, a otter, a waffle, among many others.

Likewise, more variations are included in the formation of a couple, adding a neutral gender combination, which is added to the heterosexual and homosexual couples that currently exist. As for the category of beverages, the famous Argentine mate is included, as well as a juice box and an ice cube.

The date for emojis to appear on smartphones will depend on the adaptation that each company makes to their systems.
